A taste of the Business side of Streets
Today I was so fortunate to sit down with Noelle, who is a graduate from Hutchison, and talk about the business side of streets. (We also spent a lot of time talking about the latest news and teachers at Hutchison, and it's fun to have the "hutch girl" bond!) I found out today that Noelle is one of the busiest women I know. She makes sure all the staff is happy, answers all of the phone calls, manages and pays all of the bills, gives out paychecks, manages the budget, calls anyone when anything needs to be fixed, keeps up with all of the keys, keeps up with emergency cash, manages all of the donations (in an extremely organized way might I add), and there were probably about twenty other jobs that she mentioned. I could never see myself being able to manage all of the math that she does, or the hundred jobs she manages, but it is amazing to see how the business side of streets runs! It was also so encouraging to hear that Streets does not receive any money from the government, and it is completely run by donations! It is such an incredible ministry, and to be so incredible it needs hard working people like Noelle to do the job.
